This NAAAEA Outstanding Young Engineer Award has been developed to encourage young AAAEA members to be active with AAAEA and other professional organizations, obtain professional licenses early in their careers, and encourage volunteerism in community activities.

Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis (no current deadline)


Eligibility

All AAAEA members aged 40 or younger who is recognized by colleagues for his/her outstanding achievements are eligible to submit for this award.  The nomination could be by the applicant, or by others who are familiar with the applicant’s involvement and accomplishments

Evaluation of The Application

Several key factors will be considered in evaluating the nomination: 

  1. Letter of Recommendation from a colleague or the Engineer’s supervisor
  2. The candidate’s contribution to his/her NAAAEA State Chapter
  3. Professional licenses
  4. Volunteering with other Professional Organizations
  5. leadership position with AAAEA and/or other professional organization, and 
  6. Community service

Required Documents

  1. Letter of Recommendation
  2. Resume highlighting your accomplishments and volunteer activities
  3.  Proof of your AAAEA-membership 
  4. Headshot photo for yourself (will be used in NAAAEA publications)
