The NAAAEA Grant Program has been developed to assist the local chapters in growing and promoting their activities.

Eligibility

All NAAAEA chapters are eligible to submit a grant application.

Amount of the Grant

Specify the amount you are requesting for the program or the project. Provide a brief break down of the requested amount. NAAAEA will award grant(s) based on the availability of funds.

Criteria

A grant application may be submitted for any program or project that is consistent with NAAAEA Mission. The following are suggested possible uses of the Grant:

  1. For technology improvement package (to improve the quality of the website)
  2. To host an FE/PE exam review classes or any other licensing-related classes
  3. For the expansion of the educational programs, such as project presentations, job site tours, and plant tours
  4. To host a local annual educational conference.

Note that the above are only suggestions. NAAAEA board is receptive to any other proposals.

Evaluation of the Application

Several key factors will be considered in evaluating the grant application:

  1. Are there matching funds from the chapter, or is the grant request serving as the only funding source for a proposed project?
  2. Will the grant help in promoting and growing the chapter?
  3. Is the grant for operational expenses (such as website updates, etc.)?

Reporting

Upon completion of the grant-related project/program, the local chapter is required to report on how the chapter benefited from the grant. The report will be shared with other chapters to ensure knowledge transfer.
