The Recent Graduates Program RGP targets recent graduates of qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution. Successful applicants will be placed in a one-year career development program. Specific coursework may be required depending on the career field. AAAEA Colorado Chapter

New Chapter! Colorado!

New Chapter! Colorado!

A new AAAEA Chapter is registered and opened in Colorado. Congratulations for those who helped in this great effort. I was honored to work with great leaders and committed to establish this chapter.

As stated by our chapter’ president and founder, Mr. Nabeal Khatib, “The necessity of establishing the chapter in the state of Colorado is extremely important and urgent for our members in Colorado. The variety of disciplines between the levels of our community was one of the mean reasons that leads the founder and the director board members to agree on building this chapter together.”

Mr. Nabeal started gathering reliable, trustful, and brilliant members to be the board directors for the chapter.

Names of the founders are listed herein as thusly:

  1. Nabeal W, Khatib, M.S., E.I., is a bridge engineer at Ulteig and affiliate professor at the Metropolitan State University (MSU). He graduated from the University of Colorado (UCD-Denver) with a civil engineering degree, he continues his graduate studies to get his master’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering from UCD, he currently is working on his Ph.D. in the same filed. Mr. Khatib serves as the president of the chapter.
  2. Ahmad Alsubaihawi, E.I.T., is a civil engineer and application engineer, he worked on numerous projects. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a civil engineering degree. Mr. Alsubaihawi serves as the vice president of the chapter.
  3. Bashar Sawaged is a recent graduate from the University of Colorado with a mechanical engineering degree. Mr. Sawaged serves as the treasurer of the chapter.
  4. Omar Abouagina is an engineer at Holder Construction Company, he graduated from the University of Colorado with a mechanical engineering degree. Mr. Abouagina serves as the secretary of the chapter.
  5. Egbal Elmagre, Ph.D., is a geotechnical engineer. She graduated from UCD with a Ph.D. in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering, she also has a good structure background. Mrs. Elmagre serves as the women-outreach director.

  1. Mohamed Zaina, PE: Mr. Zaina is the director of region 1 at the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
